Could you come up with a definition of "soundtoys"

For me soundtoys have a communicational aspect. a non structural approch of communication.

I work up what i live through.

For 5 years


Were you an artist/ musician first who got into using computers/the net or did you respond to the net in an artistic way?

When i started my artistic carrier, the net was a new thing for me.


What/ who has influenced you in your work? (themes, other artists etc)

The biggest push i got from amy (futurefarmers). every moment is inspiration for me. if there is no task on your mind, you are open for the "real information" from the outside and inside...


Are there any other artists covering the same field as you?

I guess every artist is finding out, about the world, himself.


Do you see this work as art?

Sure.


With regard to 'soundtoys' especially, why do you think the audio visual metaphor is so key to the net?

I guess because that is one of the news about this media

How important is the visual aspect in the 'new' relationship of the audio visual.?

Depence on the artist

Does the net promotes visual awareness that is unique to it?

I think so, because of interactive thoughts while designing.

Do you think there is a history to audio visual work?

As much there is a history, there is one for audio visual work, too


Would you describe yourself as a multimedia artist, a net.artist, programmer, or none of the above?

I guess multimedia artist is fine (:


What software do you use most and why?

Director, because it is the most powerful tool to merge different media, without getting to abstract.


On a more personal level why do you make this work?

It is a reflection of my live. I could not imagine anymore to divide my work from my live...
